VistaDB is a fully compliant ADO.NET 2 provider factory. This means any application that knows how to take advantage of .Net Provider Factories can use VistaDB. Provider Factories are how you write database agnostic code in .NET.

Some applications (like Crystal Reports) also accept strongly typed datasets from your code. You can generate the strongly typed dataset in Visual Studio and then reference it from the application.
