VistaDB 2.0 (RC2) postponed

We are holding off the RC2 build until we get the Delete issue resolved. We believe RC2 should be ready Friday Sept. 3rd, but it may be held over until Tuesday Sept. 7, with a Preview appearing this weekend.

The issue is related to how the VistaDB manages deleted records. The engine is currently performing various checks during initial database connection in an attempt to perform house cleaning on the internal storage. This housecleaning is responsible for slow opening of very large tables (1,000,000 rows+), which is not noticable in smaller tables. The good news is that we know the exact sections of code responsible for this and we are working on it. Additional good news is that this appears to be the last major issue before release.
