VistaDB 2.0.16 release includes new VistaDB Server
July 28th, 2005
Free VistaDB 2.0.16 database update has been released. This
latest build features a new VistaDB Server product that is designed to provide
true client/server support for developing robust multi-user database
applications that run in network environments and for applications that need to
access data remotely over TCP/IP. The new VistaDB Server delivers a whopping 10
to 30 times improvement in performance over embedded applications that allow
multiple users to access data in a shared network environment. In keeping with
VistaDB's small footprint design, the VistaDB Server is only 600KB in size.
Limited time introductory pricing for the new VistaDB Server starts at only
$229. This 2.0.16 build also includes updates to the .NET Provider and VCL
components for accessing the VistaDB Server, along with fixes to reported
issues and improvements to SQL performance. Other features of 2.0.16 include
updated support for the new Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2.
