New OLE DB Provider announced for VistaDB 2.1

We have some exciting news to report Win32 developers. We are working on a new VistaDB OLE DB Provider for Win32. We expect to have it ready by the end of November or sooner.

This new OLE DB Provider will let developers connect to VistaDB .VDB database files and the VistaDB Server from Visual Basic 6 and any other tool or product that supports ADO/OLE DB. The VistaDB OLE DB Provider will be fully compatible with an ADO/OLE DB data bound controls, and it will be compatible with popular 3rd party components and tools such as Crystal Reports and more.

This latest prodcut will complete our Win32 product line and will allow developers to continue to build powerful Win32 applications as everyone makes the transition to .NET. We will merge VistaDB COM into our new OLE DB Provider product (the final product name is yet to be determined) and it will be a free update to all existing COM customers.
