New VistaDB OLE DB Provider now available!

The new VistaDB OLE DB Provider has been released as part of the VistaDB 2.1.2 build. This new OLE DB Provider lets Win32 developers connect to VistaDB .VDB database files and the VistaDB Server from Visual Basic 6, ASP and any other tool or product that supports ADO/OLE DB. The VistaDB OLE DB Provider is fully compatible with ADO/OLE DB with popular 3rd party components such as Crystal Reports and more. The new VistaDB OLE DB Provider supports data bound controls, which lets VB developers build database applications as they have been accustomed to using Jet/Access.

To consolidate VistaDB support for OLE DB and COM technologies, VistaDB COM has been merged into VistaDB OLE DB Provider. VistaDB COM customers now become VistaDB OLE DB customers, which means they get both the COM objects and OLE DB Provider.
