Introduction

VistaDB 2.x lets software developers build small to midsize unmanaged database applications for Win32 and classic ASP. Developers can easily create compact yet powerful desktop, multi-user, mobile and web-based database applications using Delphi, C++Builder, Visual Basic and VBScript.

VistaDB features a small 500KB footprint that is 150x smaller than MSDE and 40x smaller than Jet that delivers high-performance, low-overhead data management. VistaDB applications are smaller, more robust and easier to deploy than applications developed using Jet, MSDE or the BDE. Because of VistaDB's small footprint and royalty free Copy 'n Go!™ deployment, applications can be distributed easily over the Internet with no concerns for download size, configuration or licensing!
